Starting with this version, you can now automatically generate data panels using AI.
The eXtra Panel dialog (data entry >> data panels) includes a new “Generate with AI” button, as shown:
When clicked, a confirmation dialog will appear to warn you about credit usage. After accepting, another dialog will let you choose which AI model to use for this operation.
The available models in this version are:
gpt-4.1 (recommended for higher accuracy)
gpt-4o-mini
gemini-2.0-flash-lite
gemini-2.5-flash (recommended for higher accuracy)
We recommend gpt-4.1 or gemini-2.5-flash for the most accurate results.
Once confirmed, an automatic AI request will be sent to extract all data tables from the selected document.
When the process is complete, a new dialog will appear displaying the extracted information along with configuration options, as explained below:
List of found tables
Select here to preview the extracted table in the list (columns, data type and example value)
If the selected ChronoScan xGrid is empty, the table will be created automatically. If it already contains data, a confirmation prompt will appear warning you about overwriting.
When tables are created this way, the alias is set to the extracted name provided by the AI. Only the columns, column names, and data types are generated automatically. Additional table configuration can be performed as usual in the “eXtra Panels Settings” preview window:
